While functioning as a full time Chazzan and Bar-Bat Mitzvah teacher in Bloemfontein and Germiston, South Africa, Paul Kowarsky enrolled as a correspondence student in the Faculty of Law of the University of South Africa.

Upon completion of his studies, he obtained a Bachelor of Law Degree (B.Iuris) on the 8th of May, 1971.

After successfully completing his Articles of Clerkship and the Attorneys Admission Examinations, Paul Kowarsky was admitted as an Attorney of the Supreme Court of South Africa on the 8th of May, 1972.

He was in private practice for several years prior to immigrating to Canada in 1976.
